The Image Of The Heavenly

1 Corinthians 15.49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy , we shall also bear the image of the heavenly . 

 Who can forget the wonderful, wonderful day when Jesus came into their life.  It was a day when everything changed in our lives.  We experienced the new-birth, were adopted into the family of our glorious Heavenly-Father, and were transformed in our heart and mind.  The Holy Spirit began to enlighten us concerning the spiritual things of our Lord and His Kingdom, and what a joy filled our souls. 

 Yet, a greater day than that is coming soon.  Throughout 1 Corinthians 15 Paul is writing about the resurrection.  He proves the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ through the testimony of the many eyewitnesses who saw, touched, and were touched by Him.  He reminds us that the resurrection of our Lord, and our coming resurrection is the hope and driving motivation of the Body of Christ.  He then leads us to remember that one day soon, and very soon we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye and this mortality will put on immortality.  Oh, Come Lord Jesus, Come!!

 No matter what your trials may be this week.  Should a precious loved one be called to his or her eternal home, or should all of your earthly possessions be required and you be left destitute by this worlds standards.  Should a multitude of hindrances and distractions try to disillusion your heart.  Be encouraged my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God always keeps His Word, and one day soon we will all stand eternally in His presence.

 Therefore, keep yourself pure as a bride adorned for her bridegroom.  Keep yourself strong and standing firm as a good soldier faithfully fighting the good fight of faith.  Keep yourself steadfast in service as a good steward, found faithfully serving when his master arrives.  For your reward will truly be great and bountiful on that day.
