Battlefields Of The Church

Salvation By Grace

Eph 2.8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith ; and that not of yourselves : [it is] the gift of God :  9 Not of works , lest any man should boast .

Justice is getting what you deserve.
Mercy is not getting what you deserve.
Grace is getting what you do not deserve.

The fact that our eternal salvation is provided by grace through faith ought to one of the greatest blessings any Born Again Christian can receive.  Almighty God, through the propitiatory work of His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ has given, free and clear, the gift of eternal life to all who will receive it from Him.

There was absolutely nothing you could do for your salvation.  No miracle you must perform.  No price you must pay.  No act of righteousness you must or could perform to secure your salvation.  The cost of your salvation was paid in full by our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross.  Praise God for the glorious gift of salvation by Grace.

Yet there are many who teach that one must speak in tongues to be truly saved.  Others teach one must be baptized in order to be saved.  Still others teach you must be confirmed by a particular church in order to be saved.  Many think that their good works will earn them an eternal home in heaven.  All of these acts of human work cannot and never will make one good enough to enter God's Kingdom.

The forth battlefield of the Church in our day is that of salvation by Grace through faith.  The true Church of our Lord Jesus Christ must teach with unfettered clarity that salvation was secured through the precious blood of our wonderful Savior.  Hence, there is only one way that an individual can enter God’s eternal kingdom and that is through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Should born again Christians be baptized?  Should a child of God be a part of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ?  Should one redeemed by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ live a righteous and holy life?  Yes, yes, and yes.  But they cannot do any of these in order to be saved.  Instead they do them all, and much more, because they already are saved by grace though faith.

Hence, be sure you and your Church are standing in the right place and fighting the fight to teach salvation by grace through faith, alone.
