Battlefields Of The Church

Col 2.8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit , after the tradition of men , after the rudiments of the world , and not after Christ .

The Church of our Lord Jesus Christ is lock in an eduring battle that has raged through the ages.  Many in our contemporary culture have grown weary with the battle aqnd have began to compromise with our spiritual enemy.  Others have merely stepped back from the front lines, standing quietly off to the side, as thought they are lomnger certain how the war is going over all.

Our adversary hopes that we in our humanness will become bored with this relentless conflict.  For if we do then perhaps we will begin to focus on other, mortal, less important issues.  If we are not careful we will indeed become distracted, and will be "spoiled by the philosophies" that  surround us.

The late great Adrian Rogers once stated that he believed that there were three great battlefields for the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I have listed these below, with the addition of one more (the fourth) that I believe has become more propminent in our contemporary culture.  Over the next few weeks I wish to briefly address each of these battelfields individually.

Also, attached to this email is an attricle from Fox News, that reveals just how prevelent and active the battle for the Church and Bible really is.  Consider it well, and pray about this struggle fervently.  All that is necessary for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing (a great quote, from an author whose name I do not remember).

Four Battlefields Of The New Testament Church

 1. The inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible.

2. The Deityship of our Lord Jesus Christ

3. The Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ

 4. Salvation by faith through grace alone.
